Please note, all field usage is subject to change up until the day of the event. Field closures are at the discretion of Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation and will be communicated as soon as Charlotte GAA is made aware. Players should check with respective coordinators and/or coaches if weather or field usage is in question.

Summer Session shall be free for club members and $50 for new members for 2025.

Charlotte James Connolly’s GAA youth program continues to grow.

Parents/Guardians, club members and members of the wider community are encouraged to get involved through active engagement. The club is seeking prospective volunteers and coaches to serve, support and enhance program implementation.

As our youth program continues to grow, we are focused on enhancing resources available to our youth coaches. The following items are required, and will be facilitated by the club, for ALL interested coaches:

Completed NCSI background check.
Completed GAA foundational coaching accreditation.
Child Welfare Best Practices & Training
Consistently available on Saturday mornings 8:30AM-10:45AM over the period of the program (Typically 6-8 Saturdays)
Work with the Youth Coordinator, volunteers and coaches in planning, implementing, supervising, and evaluating program activities for child participants.

WHAT DO I NEED TO START?

Nothing! We’ll supply all necessary equipment! Just dress your child in comfortable, weather appropriate, athletic attire. We do suggest boots, these are also called cleats, but these are not required. Please make sure to also bring a reusable water bottle, labeled with your child’s name.

In consideration of my participation in Charlotte James Connolly Gaelic Football Club, I hereby forever release and covenant not-to-sue Charlotte James Connolly Gaelic Football Club, the Board Members, and any of their employees, instructors, volunteers, agents, coaches, and all others who are involved, from any and all present and future claims resulting from ordinary negligence on the part of Charlotte James Connolly Gaelic Football Club or others listed for property damage, personal injury, or wrongful death, arising as a result of my engaging in or receiving instruction in club sports activities or any activities incidental thereto, wherever, whenever, or however the same may occur. I hereby voluntarily waive any and all claims both present and future, resulting from ordinary negligence, that may be made by me, my family, estate, heirs, or assigns, and I relinquish on behalf of myself, spouse, heirs, estate and assigns the right to recover for injury or death. I am aware that club sports at Charlotte James Connolly Gaelic Football Club are vigorous team activities that can involve severe cardiovascular stress and violent physical contact. I understand that participation in club sports can involve certain risks, including, but not limited to, death, serious neck and spinal injuries resulting in complete or partial paralysis, brain damage, and serious injury to virtually all bones, joints, muscles, and internal organs, and that equipment provided for my protection may be inadequate to prevent serious injury. In addition, I understand that participation in club sports involves activities incidental thereto, including, but not limited to, travel to and from the site of the activity, participation at sites that may be remote from available medical assistance, and the possible reckless conduct of other participants. I am voluntarily participating in this activity with knowledge of the danger involved and hereby agree to accept any and all risks of property damage, personal injury, or death. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Charlotte James Connolly Gaelic Football Club and others listed for any and all claims arising as a result of my participation in club sports activities or any activities incidental thereto, wherever, whenever, or however the same may occur. I understand that this waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of North Carolina, and I agree that if any portion is held invalid, the remainder of the waiver will continue in full legal force and effect. I HEREBY AGREE THAT THE CHARLOTTE GAA MAY PHOTOGRAPH OR CAPTURE FOOTAGE OF ME OR MY CHILD AT THE CHARLOTTE GA OR ON ANY AFFILIATED CHARLOTTE GA PROPERTY AND the CHARLOTTE GA may use those photographs or footage for its marketing purposes and further agree to release both the CHARLOTTE GA and releases from any claim or liability related to that use; waiving all claims for myself, my child and any heirs or next of kin.
