CHARLOTTE GAA - OFFICIAL SUSPENSION OF CLUB ACTIVITIES CONTINUES
Club members,
We, the Charlotte James Connolly’s Executive Board hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. Below we will provide an update regarding the 2020 season using the most up to date information we have available to us.
In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 while protecting the health and well-being of our players, members and surrounding community, Charlotte GAA will continue the temporary suspension of the 2020 season in accordance with federal and local government guidelines until further notice.
As we look ahead to the future, when it is safe to do so, Charlotte James Connolly’s GAA and USGAA Southeast Division fully intend to hit the ground running on the 2020 season. In order to do this, all players must be registered with USGAA.
IMPORTANT:
The deadline to register with USGAA is April 30th. The following link will provide you with the details for registration: 2020 PLAYER REGISTRATION
USGAA registration includes several resources we use as a club and covers the individual player and club activities during the period from May 1st, 2020 - April 30th, 2021.
Although we do not have control over the USGAA deadlines, we, your Executive Board, have decided to delay collection of club dues while we wait to see what shape the 2020 season will take. The club and its activities are supported through several different avenues throughout the year with player dues being a very important one. We will keep the club dues portion open for those who wish to complete their entire registration process at this time, also available here: 2020 PLAYER REGISTRATION.
Again, we understand that many have been financially impacted due to COVID-19 and may be unable to pay USGAA or club dues at this time. We are here to support those who are in need. Therefore, if you need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to club treasurer, David Flanagan, at Treasurer.CharlotteGAA@gmail.com.
While the situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to rapidly change, we appreciate your patience and understanding as the Charlotte GAA Board of Directors continue to navigate and evolve our decisions and responses in accordance with the immediate situations at hand.
As things start to improve, we will adjust our plans accordingly and updates will be provided as soon as we have them.
Yours in sport,
Sean Murphy,
Charlotte James Connolly’s Chairman
